Jacksonville has a great pier, St Augustine's isn't so great, Flagler's pier is good too. For 1 day of surf fishing in the area I would recomend Talbot Island. Seems to be the most productive area with the warm water we're haveing.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the report.
I was born here, and have lived here most of my life. My dad commercial fished down in the Keys and I had the opportunity to fish just about any day of the week, but didn't. I now believe that I must be an idiot. This far down the line and the only really true love has been casting a line about (I've fished in storm drains!). Life has always kept it just beyond reach, and that is probably a good thing, for it makes me savor every moment I've held a pole. I too, look forward to retirement in the greatest fishing spot on the planet!
