#26254, "Conoflex Blank Specs:"

Conoflex Blanks lengths, measurements and wt range:

Note: All conoflex rod ratings are rated bang-on with a pendulum/power-cast. This translates for those who do not pendulum cast, you can usually add 1 more oz. of weight to the rods weight rating.

Sorcerer:

Same specs/blank as the Assassin 10’
The Assassin was renamed the Sorcerer for the American Market.
When these are gone, I will not restock.

Assassin:

Length: 10' & 11’
Tip size: 8 (3.12mm/.123”)
Butt size: 17.09mm - .672”inch
Tip length: 6’4” Butt Length 4 & 5’ respectively.
Wt. Range: ½ oz – 2 1/4 oz
Ferrule: Spigot
Parallel Butt

A nice light tackle rod with a softer tip and more through action through the tip. Use for lobbing soft baits or for casting light lures a long way. Works great for diamond jigs, spoons and plugs. The parallel butt gives a lot of power in the cast for such a light rod. I have cast 3 oz with this rod with and overhand thump cast without overloading it.

Nevada:

Length: 12'
Wt. Range: 1 – 3oz.
Tip size: 8.5 (3.25mm/.128”)
Butt size: 18.60mm - .732”inch
Tip / Butt length: Equal
Ferrule type: Spigot
Parallel Butt

A rod that will cast lures and baits a long way. It is part of the (original) family of "zoned action" rods where on the cast, the tip loads first, then the mid section and butt. This comes together to cast lures/baits a long way for such a slim rod. This also translates into excellent fish-ability and will handle a big fish problem with ease. The Nevada has a very nice tip action for fishing and casting.

Gambit 24:

Length: 12'
Wt. Range: 2 – 4 oz.
Tip size: 7.5 (2.90mm/.114”)
Butt size: 19.94mm - .785”inch
Tip / Butt length: Equal
Ferrule type: Spigot
Parallel Butt

A rod that will cast lures and baits a long way. It is part of the (original) family of "zoned action" rods where on the cast, the tip loads first, then the mid section and butt. This comes together to cast lures/baits a long way for such a slim rod. This also translates into excellent fish-ability and will handle a big fish problem with ease. The Gambit has a very nice tip action for fishing and casting. This blank is the next step up in power over the Nevada.

Gambit 24 XT XL (Xtra):

Length: 12’ 9”
Wt. Range: 2 – 4oz.
Tip size: 7.5 (290mm/.114”)
Butt size: 20.56mm - .809”inch
Tip / Butt length: Equal
Ferrule type: Spigot
Parallel Butt

Same as the Standard Gambit, only longer and has an extra wrap of material in the butt section to give it a bit more zip on the cast. With the sweet spot being around 4 oz, it will cast a 5 oz. with small baits a long way also. This is my most popular seller and one of the first rods I cast out every time I go to the beach. I have not gotten any complaints on this one other than one is usually not enough!

Phantom 45:

Length: 12’
Wt. Range: 4 – 5oz.
Tip size: 7.5 (2.89mm/.114”)
Butt size: 21.53mm - .847”inch
Tip / Butt length: Equal
Ferrule type: Spigot
Parallel Butt

The continuation up in power over the Gambit. The butt section is thicker to handle the extra load for casting 4 - 5oz. weight. This rod has the same action as it's smaller brothers with it being a true zoned action rod. For 5 oz and small baits, it is again one of my favorites. This rod is firmer in the action than the Nevada and Gambit in order to handle the extra stress/loads. However, it still has excellent fish ability and cast-ability without being a broom-handle

Phantom 45 XL:

Length: 12’ 9”
Wt. Range: 4 – 5 oz.
Tip size: 7.5 (2.89mm/.114”)
Butt size: 21.50mm - .848”inch
Tip / Butt length: Equal
Ferrule type: Spigot
Parallel Butt

Same as the Phantom, only longer for those who want a bit more length.

Barracuda Thief:

Length: 11’ 5.5”
Wt. Range: 2 – 4 oz.
Tip size: 6.5 (2.48mm/.98”)
Butt size: 23.20mm - .913”inch
Tip / Butt length: Equal
Ferrule type: Tip over Butt
Tapered Butt

Originally designed to be easier on the wallet. This blank is tapered from butt to tip and has a more through action for those who like a "medium" action surf rod, this one will work well and not break the bank. Has a tip over butt ferrule. Excellent rod for the money. This one is rated bang-on as any more weight overloads the rod.

Flattie Fanatic:

Length: 12’ 1”
Wt. Range: 2 – 4 oz.
Tip size: 6.5 (2.50mm/.98”)
Butt size: 24.03mm - .946’inch
Tip / Butt length: Equal
Ferrule type: Spigot
Tapered Butt

This rod is all carbon fiber (graphite), but with a fiberglass tip for bite detection. The last 2' of the tip section is fiberglass for super bite detection.

Source Estuary Match:

Length: 13’
Wt. Range: 3 – 5 oz
Tip size: 7.5 (2.99mm/.117”)
Butt size: 22.08mm - .869” inch
Tip / Butt length: 7’4” / 6’
Ferrule type: Spigot
Parallel Butt

This rod, sad to say, is one that I kept shuffling around on the back burner until not too long ago when I 'rediscovered' it. It is similar to the Flattie in that it has a fiberglass tip for detecting soft bites, but this one will cast a long way too!. For those who cast heavier weights and still need to detect the faintest nibbles, this one is easier on the wallet, but powerful too. I now have one for personal use.

Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.
